parent teacher conferenceTeachers in grades K-12 will be holding conferences on October 20, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. In grades K-6, the goal is to hold parent/student/teacher conferences with every family as part of the K-6 reporting process. The conferences in K-6 allow students, parents, and teachers to discuss progress and set goals for the first half of the year. Please contact your child’s homeroom teacher in grades 5 and 6 to schedule a conference. If for some reason parents cannot attend a conference, the teacher and student will hold the conference.

The Inter-Lakes PTO once again held their annual Walkathon on Sunday, October 1, 2017. The Walkathon requires a tremendous amount of volunteer hours to plan. The PTO works diligently every year to sponsor a high quality event for Inter-Lakes families. This year was no exception. We were blessed with a beautiful day with a brilliant blue sky.
This year PTO incorporated some new twists to the time honored tradition. The carnival games were a big hit with students. The reverse dunk tank was a lot of fun and a big thanks goes out to those who volunteered to get wet. Along with all the activities and many laps around the track plenty of food was enjoyed by all.

They joined 86 other teams in their challenge age group.  The Destroyers finished in a 4-way tie for 42nd place. Not too shabby!!  Teams came from all over the world to compete. The teens wrote their poems on many different topics and shared them with their peers, but some of those poems will appear in a poetry anthology in a spring publication by Creative Communication.
The following students will be published in a book entitled A Celebration of Poets:
