Inter-Lakes State Math meet results

The results are finally in for the math state meet. Inter-Lakes placed 6th out of 14 teams with 138 points total. Portsmouth Christian won with 204 points. Bishop Brady was second with 191 points and Trinity third with 159 points. Newfound was 4th with 155 points and NewMarket 5th with 145 points. Top scorers for Inter-Lakes were Finnian O’Connell and Hayden Jurius with 16 points each. Hayden got a perfect score in Algebra II. Sam Mailand and Reese Chappuis followed with 12 points each. Jake Baggaley, Josh Simpson, Kendall Donohoe, and Sarah Sundius each scored 8 points. Rounding out the list was Dorothy Crowell and Hayley Roth, each with 4 points. The teams are coached by Diane Mega and Bob Marcoux. The White team placed second in the Lakes Region Math League. They were beaten by Tilton Prep School. In their final regular meet, the Inter-Lakes White team finished second for small schools with 121 points, Tilton School was first with 166 points and Belmont was third with 95 points. Top scorer for the white team was Sarah Sundius with perfect scores in all 3 catagories (writer’s choice, geometry, and algebra II) with 9 out of 9 correct. Finnian O’Connell followed with 7 out of 9. Finnian, Hayley Roth, Sam Mailand, and Josh Simpson all got perfect in writer’s choice. Kendall Donohoe got a perfect in advanced math. Also scoring for the white team were Sam Mailand, Kendall Donohoe, Hayley Roth, and Josh Simpson, each with 6 out of 9 correct. Alec Karageorges scored 5 out of 9. Brian Borders and Dorothy Crowell each finished with 4 out of 9. The white team finished 2nd overall for the year with 533 points, Tilton School was first with 648 points, and Belmont third with 505 points.
The blue team, with only 2 members, finished 5th today and 5th overall for the year. The team was led by Jacob Baggaley with 8 out of 9 correct. He got perfect scores in writer’s choice and Algebra I. Patrick Welch followed with 6 out of 9. The total score for the blue team for the year was 268 points. Congratulations to both teams for a great meet and for a great season. They will now go to the state meet on March 20th.

The Inter-Lakes math team results of the 4th meet are finally in. The white team tied for second with Belmont, each scoring 114 pts. They were beaten by Tilton School with 146 pts. Top scorers for the white team were Sam Mailand and Sarah Sundius, each with 14 out of 18 pts. They were followed by Jacob Baggaley and Finnian O’Connell, each with 12 points. Kendall Donohoe, and Reese Chappuis each scored 8 pts. Hayley Roth scored 6 points. Chelsea Colby and Matt Schneberger each scored 4 pts. Brian Borders finished off with 2 pts. The White team is currently in 2nd place overall with 412 pts., Tilton School has 482 pts., and Belmont 410 pts. The Blue team placed 5th . Top scorers for the Blue team were Hayden Jurius, Natalie Duffield, and Josh Simpson, each with 8 pts. out of 16. Kira Goodheart, Patrick Welch and Natalie Johnson each scored 4 pts. Bryan Johnson finished off with 2 pts. The Blue team is currently in 5th place overall with 240 pts. Fourth place goes to Moultonborough with 275 pts.
